Nicholas H. Stonnington – Chairman of
the Board
Nicholas
H. Stonnington is President of Stonnington Group, LLC, which he founded in 2004
and headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Previously, Nick was Senior Vice
President, Investments, of Merrill Lynch & Co. where he was employed from
1982 to 2003.
Nick
has licenses in Series 4 (Options Principal), Series 5 (Chicago Board Options
Exchange General Securities), Series 7 (General Securities Representative),
Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 27 (Financial And Operations
Principal), Series 53 (Municipal Securities Principal), Series 55 (Equity
Trader Limited Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent), and
Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law Representative) as well
as insurance licensing and was a Certified Investment Management Analyst.
Nick has his A.B.. from Dartmouth College.
Currently
Nick is an Executive Board Member of the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles
County (“The Music Center”). He is President of the Fraternity of
Friends, a support group of The Music Center. He is a Board Member of the
Los Angeles Opera, a Board Member and Governor of Los Angeles County Natural
History Museum, a Board Member of United Way of Greater Los
Angeles, a Board Member of Don Bosco Technical Institute, and an advisory
Board Member of the Asia Society of Southern California. He is a member of the
United Way of the United States Philanthropic Council; the Pacific Council; the
Programming Committee of Friends of Cal Arts; and the Los Angeles Committee on
Foreign Relations.
Nick
was President of the Los Angeles Fire & Police Pensions Department,
Commissioner of the Fire Department for the City of Los Angeles, Commissioner
of the Building & Safety Appeals Board of the City of Los Angeles,
Commissioner of the Planning Department of the City of Los Angeles, Board
Member of the Girl Scouts of the USA, Board Member of Pacific Oaks College;
Board Member of Los Angeles Festival; Board Member, Treasurer and Finance Chair
of the Angeles Girl Scout Council; Chair of the Investment Committee of the Los
Angeles Opera, member of the Investment Committee of Girl Scouts of the USA,
Executive Board Member of Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Executive
Board Member of American Friends of Salzburg Festival; and Campaign Chair of
the San Marino Public Library. He is a recipient of the Father of the
Year Award from the Father’s Day Council, the Governor’s Award from the
California Governor of Polo and of the Linfoot Award, exemplifying
sportsmanship in polo. Nick is an active member of the Pasadena Angels.
